Terms and Conditions
This is an informational summary in English. The legally binding document, governed by Argentine law, is the Spanish version.
1. What Interpatagonia Rent a Cars is
Interpatagonia Rent a Cars is a digital directory/intermediary connecting car rental companies with people looking to rent a vehicle. Interpatagonia Rent a Cars does not rent vehicles itself, is not a party to the rental agreement, and does not process the booking payment or the vehicle handover/return. The rental agreement is made exclusively between the company and the customer, outside the platform.
2. Registered companies' obligations
- Keep valid civil liability insurance as required by Argentina's National Traffic Law 24.449, and any local rental-business licensing that applies.
- Publish accurate, up-to-date information about vehicles, reference prices and service conditions.
- Respond to inquiries received through the platform and communicate the specific rental conditions (deductible, security deposit, mileage policy, minimum driver age, required documents, extra charges) before confirming a booking.
- Accept these Terms and Conditions upon registering.
3. Information for people inquiring about a vehicle
The specific rental conditions (insurance, deductible, deposit, mileage, driver requirements, cancellation policy) are set by each company, not by Interpatagonia Rent a Cars. Confirm those conditions directly with the company before booking. Interpatagonia Rent a Cars does not verify the existence, condition or paperwork of listed vehicles beyond what the company enters into its account.
4. Commission
Interpatagonia Rent a Cars charges registered companies a 10% commission on the value of each booking that results from an inquiry originated on the platform. This is settled between Interpatagonia Rent a Cars and the company outside the platform (the platform does not currently process payments between company and customer).
5. Limitation of liability
Interpatagonia Rent a Cars is not responsible for the mechanical or legal condition of listed vehicles, for accidents, claims, or breaches of contract between the company and the customer, or for terms agreed between them outside the platform. The company is solely responsible to the customer for the rented vehicle and its insurance coverage.
6. Personal data
Data entered by companies and customers (name, email, phone, inquiry messages) is used only to put both parties in contact and to manage accounts. It is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. The Spanish version prevails for any legal dispute.
